Contribuiți la feedbackOne of the most special and delicious dishes in Turkish cuisine is definitely the İskender Kebab. Being a country famous for doner kebabs, it is easy to find them everywhere, but it is hard to find one that is truly delicious and of high quality. Uludağ Kebapçısı in Küçükbakkalköy, created by the Çalışır brothers, has brought their success from Bursa to Istanbul. The quality of the meat, the balance of flavors (using the curly young male lamb from Balıkesir and heifers from the Marmara region), and the perfect cooking result in a fantastic end product. The sauce, made with butter and tomato, is used sparingly to not overpower the taste of the meat. Although I personally prefer a bit more butter and sauce, Uludağ Kebapçısı, which has no other branches in Istanbul, comes highly recommended. However, the Mustafa Kemal Paşa Cheese dessert with tahini and walnut fell short of our expectations.
I highly recommend trying the delicious Alexandria kebab at this restaurant, along with their friendly and fast service.
