Best place in Don Det, I had a great stay! The food is delicious, the bungalow clean and functional, and especially away from the tourist center! Lutz is very good advice, he helped me a lot in the organization of my trip! Do not hesitate :

A place that feels like paradise! Enjoy the beautiful garden, nice view, relaxed seating area and delicious food! They have many vegetarian food options and the taste is amazing!!! The owners are very kind and friendly.

What can we say, this is by far probably the best place to stay, experience and enjoy in Don Det. Not only that Lutz is an excellent host, who really cares about all the needs of his guests and always has an open ear and to every concern the solution ready. The bungalows are also excellent! Simple and basic but with everything you need, a comfortable bed, a shower (cold), two hammocks on the veranda. The view from the hammock is phenomenal and you can let your gaze wander for hours and hang your thoughts. The house's own restaurant, spoils you in every way, whether it is breakfast, lunch or dinner, everything is taken care of. The cuisine ranges from Laotian, Thai to Western, so there should be something for everyone. The quality of the food is outstanding and the portions are generous, which more than justifies the price! A recommendation for a dish is difficult to give, because all dishes are excellent that you get served here. I had a very nice and relaxing stay here, thank you very much! It was a pleasure to be a guest of Lutz. A clear recommendation to all who are looking for a place to switch off and relax. Hope this place will be around for many years to come!

Rustic and perfect for what you need on the islands. The owner is super nice and helpful. You can get some gorgeous views of the sunrise from the terrace. Most of the food they serve isn't vegan but they did their best to accommodate. Their pumpkin burger was one of the best I've had.

What a great place to stay. The bungalows are very pleasant and clean. The owners (a German-Lao couple) are very friendly and helpful. The whole setting is incredibly beautiful and peaceful, overlooking the Mekong, and in a relatively quiet part of the island (although at night we could hear distant music from one of the bars, until about midnight). There is no hot water but I believe this is the case in most places on the island and you don’t really need it given the heat. No AC either but with the fan at night the temperature was good. I 100% recommend staying here if you’re in the area, it’s a little piece of paradise. Plus the food at the restaurant is great!!
