Contribuiți la feedbackWow! We were blown away by how great Agriturismo Il Gallo was. We were brought here this past September by my boyfriend's sister in law and her cousin, who lives in Riva del Garda. This is a place that we would have never found on our own as common American tourists and we are very fortunate to have had family there to show us gems like Il Gallo. The night we visited Il Gallo, they were supposed to be closed but they made a special exception for our party and they opened up just for us. We had the place all to ourselves which was amazing. Here is what we loved about Agriturismo Il Gallo: 1 First things first: THE FOOD. Creative dishes yet simply done using quality ingredients... doesn't get much better than that. Aperitivo drinks made with elderflower, figs with salami, figs with melted brie (I swear I'll never be the same after tasting those! , risotto with feta, salad, soup made of bread/tomato/herbs (honestly, I have no clue if you would even consider it a soup but what I do know is that it was pure amazingness , rosemary braised ribs (served with some sort of candied fruit that was soaked in Rose wine , and several different kinds of dessert (chocolate cake with a sweet/tart cream, bread pudding with raisins, some sort of minty/lavender creation that reminded me of creme brulee . All were spectacular. None of these dishes are what traditionally come to mind when you think about Italian cuisine but that was part of the reason we enjoyed it so much! 2 The view, the view, the view! The dining room features a large window where we were able to watch the sun fade away and the lights from the town below start to twinkle. The pictures I snapped just don't do it justice. I wish I could live in a place with that kind of view. 3 Service Fantastic. 4 Atmosphere. The inside of Il Gallo is warm and inviting and is decorated with lots of knick knacks and mis matching tables. It's almost like you're at a friend's house for a dinner party which was very cool in our opinion. Our table decor was just lovely fresh flowers and each plate had a sprig of various herbs from their garden (I attached pictures to this post! You can tell that the chef at Agriturismo Il Gallo is passionate about her craft... I would recommend this spot to anyone and everyone who visits this area of Italy. I am still dreaming of cheesy fresh figs and yummy lavender desserts!
Brilliant food, friendly staff, outstanding view of the city below. Went on a Saturday night and booked again for lunch on Sunday. Hard to find but worth it. A really great place to eat.
Welcome and hospitality were the key words, good wine and great food. the menu is carefully studied and the courses served with great attention. in all dishes you can feel the production of cheese and the quality of the product. I recommend it to lovers of good food.
