The Kitty Kat Klub - Independence

I had just come from a business dinner with a friend, so we were dressed more formally than the usual clientele at the bar, but that had never been an issue during my previous visits. I tend to be polite and well-spoken, as I was raised to be. I ordered drinks for my friend and myself from the owner, but her attitude changed when she brought our drinks to the table. It was clear she didn’t want us there, but I tried to ignore it. While I was outside having a smoke, I overheard her telling the bouncer that I was causing trouble and needed to be kicked out. I calmly asked her why she would say that, explaining that I hadn’t done anything wrong and had been polite. She responded in a slurred tone, “You know what you did.” I insisted I hadn’t done anything wrong and said I would just leave and take my business elsewhere. That's when she became aggressive. When I went back inside to get my debit card, she followed me and continued to verbally assault me. Despite her outburst, I quietly tipped the bartender, who had nothing to do with the situation, while signing my bill. As I was leaving, she issued a sinister warning that if I ever returned, they would "slice you up like a fish." I reached my breaking point, turned around, and said, “F*** you,” before walking out, not realizing she was still chasing me with the broken mug. I am currently filing charges against her. As a business owner myself, I find it hard to understand how someone with such appalling behavior can continue to operate a bar. This experience was utterly outrageous and unacceptable.

I recently went to the Kitty Kat Club with a few friends, and we had an amazing time. Lori, the owner, is a vibrant and wonderful person who truly elevates the experience. The patio is charming and comfortable, making it suitable for any weather, which is great for me as a smoker. The regular patrons are very friendly, contributing to the warm atmosphere. Although it has a slight dive bar vibe, that’s what makes it so enjoyable and distinctive. I’m eagerly looking forward to my next visit!

This place is an incredible little dive bar! It has a warm and inviting atmosphere for everyone. The patio is wonderful! I absolutely love it, Ms. Kitty!
