Ray's Bbq - Huntington Park

The food and service were outstanding. The ribs were tender and bursting with flavor, while the brisket was also excellent. The Mac and Cheese had a fantastic taste as well.

This restaurant has changed significantly since the owner passed away. Prices are much higher, the portions have definitely shrunk, and the flavors aren't as good as they used to be. The meat is actually drier with the new cuts they’re using. I started coming here about four years ago, but sadly after two disappointing meals, I won’t be returning.

This restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere and the food is quite good. However, my review is rather lukewarm due to the prices being a bit steep. For instance, the brisket sandwich is advertised on the wall menu for $19.99, yet my bill reflected a charge of $20.99 each for the two I ordered. When I brought this to the staff's attention, he claimed it was an error but didn’t offer to refund the difference. It makes me wonder how many other customers have been overcharged. Additionally, I was informed that there's an updated menu online, but I was unable to locate it. Given these issues, I probably won’t be returning to this establishment.

Outstanding!! Family owned buisness putting out fantastic Texas bbq! Some of the best in L.A. if in Los Angeles must stop by Rays Texas BBQ. Lemonade is the best i ever had by the way!

Went there recently. Just got a 1/2 pound of brisket. Or I should say I paid for a 1/2 pound of brisket and got something closer to .35 or .4 pounds at the very most. How do i know it was plenty light? I 've eaten EXACTLY THIS at dozens of TX bbqjoints and never had a 1/2 pound serving this small. The sauce is not very good. It just tastes like sweetened ketchup withsome spices and chili added. Not good, but it would pass for an authentic TX sauce. The $22 price tag for a light 1/2 poundof brisket is quite outrageous too get real. Over priced sides as well, wont be back. On a positive note. The brisket wasactually quite good also, and on par with some of the best I 've had in TX not that its difficult to smoke a high qualitybrisket. If you 're a foreigner and only traveling to LA but have a craving for real American BBQ i would go here for a taste it 's far better than any other BBQ place i 've had on the West Coast.
