Giovanni's - Hughes Springs

This Italian restaurant is a great local spot. The food is delicious, the service is outstanding, and the restaurant is always spotless. I highly recommend trying the manicotti, it's my personal favorite. Whether you're looking for a lunch or dinner spot, this is a fantastic choice.

I have tried their pizza in the past and it was delicious. However, my most recent experience was disappointing. I ordered a Hawaiian pizza and couldn't taste the Canadian bacon, and there was hardly any pizza sauce. I am unsure if I will return to this restaurant.

This was our first time at this restaurant, with our family of 6, including a baby. We were happy to see that people were not afraid of COVID-19. We appreciate being able to dine in a normal, pre-COVID way. The owners of this small restaurant are a very friendly couple who run and operate it. The atmosphere may be a bit unconventional, with a resale thrift shop vibe and small tables for dining. The food is prepared, frozen, and then cooked, but despite this, my lasagna was delicious. The pizza was fresh and tasty, with a variety of toppings. The homemade cheese sticks were amazing, and my daughter loved the shrimp and noodles. I would have given it a 4.5 star rating if possible, the only downside being the setting. We will definitely be returning to this restaurant and I recommend it, especially for those who miss dining out the way it used to be before COVID-19. However, if you are fearful of the virus, it may not be the best choice as the owners are not adhering to distancing and mask guidelines. Overall, it's a fun little place worth trying.

During our camping trip at Daingerfield State Park, we searched for local Italian/Pizza restaurants and chose Giovanni's in Hughes Spring, just 4 miles from the park. It was a great decision! We ordered the supreme pizza for takeout and it was delicious. The toppings were fresh, the crust was good, and there was just the right amount of sauce and cheese. We will definitely order from here again when we return to the park.

The restaurant has a lovely and welcoming atmosphere. The food may take a little while to come out, but it is definitely worth the wait. You will not be disappointed by the authentic taste of true Italian cuisine!
