The Hornbrook Inn - Horsham

We were staying at the South Lodge hotel and Spa, which caters quite poorly for vegans at least in the main restaurant. This place saved the day after 2 nights of ‘making do’. Both food and service put SL to shame!!!

I had lunch here yesterday sitting outside in the sunshine. The pub gets very busy at lunch time and service is slow because of this, however the staff are excellent! I had the vegan carmelised tofu salad which was really tasty. I personally would have liked a bigger portion of tofu! It's a great place to eat with friends catering for varied meal options. The vegan options are clearly marked on the menu although there aren't many unfortunately. There's a veggie burger that they can make vegan (no brioche bun or mayo) and a vegan shepherd pie.

This is a pretty classic pub. I tried the vegan shepherd's pie, and it was surprisingly delicious! My only suggestion would be to serve it with chips instead of peas. The service was a bit slow, but the waitstaff were lovely. It would be great to sit outside when the weather is nice.

I dined outdoors in the sunshine yesterday. The pub was quite busy today, which made the service a bit slow, but the staff were excellent! I tried the vegan caramelized tofu salad, and it was absolutely delicious. Personally, I would have preferred a larger portion of tofu! It's a fantastic spot to enjoy a meal with friends, as they offer a variety of options. The vegan choices are clearly labeled on the menu, though, unfortunately, there aren't many. They do have a nice burger that can be made vegan (without the brioche bun or mayo) and a savory vegan cake.
