Tortugas Pizza - Hoover

After spending the whole day hiking at Oak Mountain, I was famished. A quick search on Yelp for pizza led us to a charming little hole-in-the-wall restaurant. With great reviews, we thought we'd give it a shot. We walked in just two minutes before closing, but the staff kindly prepared our pizza anyway. I honestly can't recall the last time I had such an amazing pizza! It was so delicious that we couldn't resist snapping a photo to share, despite having already devoured several slices. Seriously, if you get the chance, make sure to try this place! We'll definitely be returning—it might just become our new post-hike tradition.

Gluten-free experience: I visited this restaurant specifically for their gluten-free pizza, but I do not recommend it. It was actually worse than the gluten-free pizzas from 2010, when gluten-free options were just starting to emerge.

The food was fantastic, and the service was outstanding! I might need to take a road trip just to come back here! The pepperoni thin crust and all-meat pizza were delicious—so yummy! Plus, Corgis are welcome on the patio!

I was wanting a pizza from Pizza Hut however all stores are still on Covid lock down and not allowing anyone inside their building. So, I went here. I am so glad I did. I really enjoyed the pizza (Hawaiian). It was awesome ! I have found my NEW and Better z pizza place!

The deep dish pizza was fantastic! We are in town for a week and may order again before we leave. Highly recommend if you a looking for a great pizza.
