Kai Coffee - Honolulu

Every morning, I walk past Kai Coffee but never decided to stop in—until now, and I'm so glad I did! The hibiscus iced tea was refreshing, and I ordered two breakfast sandwiches to go, along with a vegetable pack for lunch. They accept all forms of payment, and there’s a good selection of seating, including outdoor options. It's also a nice spot for working on a laptop or having small meetings with one or two people, depending on how busy it is. I didn't notice a restroom, but there might be one somewhere in the building. The sandwiches and vegetable pack likely range from $6 to $7, while the iced tea costs between $3 and $5, depending on the size. They use Ecolid or Ecoproducts. Let's support local businesses!

This charming, locally-owned coffee shop is nestled in downtown Honolulu. Their standout beverage is the Kai latte, and they also offer a selection of pastries, sandwiches, and Acai bowls. It's a lovely spot to work with your laptop or to hold small group meetings. My personal favorite is the matcha latte. The baristas are efficient, allowing for quick visits—generally under five minutes if there's no line. I tend to steer clear of this place between 7:30 AM when everyone is grabbing their morning coffee. You’ll find them in the arcade building, with their entrance on S. King Street. It’s advisable to walk here rather than drive, as parking options are limited to street parking on Merchant Street or metered spots at the post office.

This place offers excellent, flavorful local coffee served with eco-friendly reusable straws. The atmosphere is relaxing, complemented by soft music and a lovely street view. Don't miss out on the delicious almond croissants!

One of the few places that were consistent in service and food. That's the main reason I always come back. I find the quality of food is good and with good taste. They were added to my rotation of lunches.

Great for a mild coffee and the best macadamia nut syrup on the island. If you’re an espresso connoisseur it’s not the BEST coffee but if you want something light and fun you’ll enjoy an iced latte plain or with a tiny bit of their macadamia syrup!
