Okinawa Sushi Hibachi Steak House

I visit Okinawa every other month and while it is good, the consistency can be a bit off. Some days everything is perfect, while other days the rice is bland and the steak is tough. Parking: There are about 60 spaces available, and I have never had trouble finding a spot.

As a DoorDash driver, I would not recommend picking up food from this restaurant. The customer service is terrible, and they appear to show preferential treatment to other races over Black customers. During my visit, they failed to communicate when my DoorDash order was ready, simply leaving it on a table without informing me. Proceed with caution when ordering from here.

We arrived at around 8:40, only 50 minutes before closing time at 9:30. The restaurant appeared to be empty, leading me to believe they may have been closed. Despite this, we chose this restaurant based on positive reviews, enticing pictures, and an appealing menu. However, upon arrival, we were disappointed to find no hibachi grills. Initially considering leaving, we ultimately decided to stay and place our orders. We ordered two hibachi chicken meals with double rice and no vegetables, along with a side of hibachi noodles to share. The soup and salad were served first - the soup had a unique beef-based flavor with a hint of spice, while the salad dressing was not to our liking. When our main dishes arrived, we noticed that the portions were smaller compared to other hibachi restaurants. The chicken was decent but lacked the authentic hibachi grill taste and teriyaki flavor. The rice had an odd smoky taste, but the noodles were surprisingly delicious. The service was subpar, possibly due to the late hour and a preference for takeout orders. Overall, it was not the best hibachi experience I've had, but it was not the worst either. I would likely not return unless we were unable to find a better hibachi restaurant in the area.

I had this doordashed to me. I had the shrimp teriyaki with fried rice and veggies. Was the right size portion for lunch and was yummy.

Yum yum is the best that I have had anywhere. The lobster tail with steak was incredible.
