Okura Japanese Cuisine - Hockessin

I have been there many times. I LOVE the food! If you haven’t been there you should go. Kailon is funny and a talker.The servers are nice.It can be busy,but worth the wait.There are the dishes when it started and new ones too! Try the bang bang shrimp. Love it!

Have been here before and DH really likes the hockessin roll so he wanted to return w/kids. The hockessin roll and crunchy tuna roll were ok., however, the dishes are all bland and tasteless. We had terriyaki chicken in which the chicken was flavored ok, but they give you white rice, steamed broccoli and no real sauce to mix it with. The tempura is batter is light and crunchy, but has absolutely no taste except for flour and water. The udon noodles were more sprouts than noodles and once again had no flavor. Even the yakitori noodles with chicken had no flavor. Dishes averaged $15-$20 . You will get better tasting dishes for 1/3 the price at the Japanese fast food stand at the mall!

The best place for sushi, hands down! I've never been going to Sushi since I was here. Great sushi, good consistent customer service!

Okura is my sushi place. Kailon is the sushi cook personally, funny and accommodating. I go whenever I can and recommend it to everyone.

Okura is my Asian Cheers!! You know where everyone knows my name! The sushi is fabulous and Kahlon the sushi cook knows exactly how I like it! You cannot miss here
