Matt Meera - Hoboken

After experiencing difficulty locating a table for seven on Mother's Day, we discovered Matt Meera Café. The menu was diverse and innovative, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal. The nachos were particularly amusing. The attentive service earned a big tip from our friends at JC, and we still managed to have a great time despite the parking challenges in Hoboken.

We frequently dine here because the regular menu is consistently delicious, particularly the fish tikka. We decided to try the Prix Fixe menu for Valentine's Day, and the fish was outstanding. Although the restaurant was extremely busy, we hardly noticed the longer wait time since it gave us a chance to relax while the babysitter took care of our child. Normally, the service is much quicker, but we completely understand that it was a special occasion. I highly recommend this place, especially for families dining in the early evening!

My partner and I visited this restaurant on Saturday with another couple, and we absolutely loved it! The naan nachos were fantastic, and the warm, welcoming atmosphere was perfect for catching up with old friends. The BYOB policy helped keep costs down, which is always a plus. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we plan to return when the craving for curry strikes again. Just a note, it doesn't seem to be a late-night spot; by around 10:30, we were the only table left, and the place was clearing out.

We had a great experience at matt meera. the eating was really great samosas, garlic naan, and chickenbiryani were all really delicious and beautiful presented, and the rose cream brulee was a very creative take on a favorite; there were many options for those who love Indian food and others for people who are less familiar. service was warm and attentive, but not annoying. the seats were beautifully distributed and offer good private sphere. the environment was annoying, but not loud or irritating. bringing our own weeping made it really worth a big one. we would definitely come back and recommend this place to others.

My friends loved their dishes however I did not and had order envy. The service was slow and the ambiance was terrible. There was a large group of obnoxiously loud people who did not lower their volume after repeated reminders from management and other patrons. At some point their gang mentality lead them to crowd our table after we told them to please lower their volume. The manager later told us that he had them in his restaurant before and they have caused trouble however he was choosing to be passive and let them dine.
