Farside Tavern - Hoboken

The best ribeye steak sandwich in town! They also offer darts, excellent service from the staff and bartenders. A classic Hoboken bar with delicious pub food that is better than most.

Last night, I attempted to enter the Color Side Tavern and was immediately confronted by two bouncers. They accused me of having a fake ID without any basis before even looking at my identification. This accusation was so absurd that I initially thought it was a joke. When I showed the bouncer my ID, he barely glanced at it before declaring it fake (I still believed he was joking at this point). He then asked me where I lived, which is not printed on an ID and is a meaningless question. When I refused to answer, he confiscated my ID and refused to return it. Despite my protests and attempts to prove the authenticity of my ID, the bouncers continued to mock me. They did not scan the ID or ask any relevant questions to verify its validity; they simply insisted it was fake. I had to involve the police, but they still refused to return my ID. Eventually, I had to return home to retrieve other forms of identification to prove my identity and age. Even when I returned with multiple forms of ID, the bouncers hesitated before finally allowing me to enter. This whole ordeal was disrespectful and unprofessional. The bouncers seemed poorly trained and ill-equipped to determine the validity of an ID. Their methods should be reviewed to ensure they are capable of accurately assessing fake IDs, as situations like mine may occur frequently due to their incompetence.

I stopped by a restaurant for a pre-dinner drink on a Wednesday at 5pm. It was not very crowded and they had different happy hour specials every night. While we were there, cocktails were $2 off. I had the frozen strawberry limonade and my partner had the frozen pina colada. Both drinks were very sweet and we didn't feel great afterwards. The high sugar content and cheap liquor seemed like a bad combination. The restaurant also had a strong chemical odor from cleaning before the dinner/ happy hour rush. Overall, it's not a place I would want to return to.

Great place bar has a good atmosphere, the music is not radiant in the ears, and the bartender is very friendly and personal. that is definitiw my new hobo spot

Great place. Lots of TVs for the people who are interested. Good music, and it wasn't too loud, so we could have a conversation. Great alcohol and prices. The staff is very nice!
