Contribuiți la feedbackCold Stone had always been my go-to for ice cream before the COVID. I lived close to Times Square and visited the Cold Stone multiple times a week until it shut down. So, I did not mind taking a 30-minute ride to this location when I returned to New York. This store is nothing but a DISASTER. Not to mention the sad-looking person who barely understood English or Spanish, or the frustrating speed and quality of making ice cream, the environment is terrible!!! Food safety issue? Just pray you won't eat some living creatures in your ice cream! Can you imagine a store that smells like an elevator in the West 4th Metro station where stray people pee every night? Can you imagine eight or nine cooking shovels littered on the table with melted ice cream dripping back into the ice cream bucket? Can you imagine the ice cream in the fridge was melted and frozen multiple times and the packages were crimpled and full of melted ice cream? When you kindly reminded them the ice cream was dirty, they simply ripped it off with a greyish wiping cloth and told you it should be like this. All I can say is that this is NOT Cold Stone. Not any more.
Please have a competent person in communication answer your phone and please have them answer it. Too often no one answers and when they do they can't communicate any proper message with the caller. Also on the Uber Eats and or Doordash app menu I am pretty sure its the DD for sure , you have to *finally* fix your menu. I can't select no cone or no bowl should I want it in a cup Is this done deliberately to make me pay more for having to select one? I also can't select the yellow cake as a first and primary included side option , even though you offer it over the phone or in the store. . That's not really allowing me to create my own creation , is it now?
The guy working here when I came in was so nice and made our ice creams just how we wanted them. A lot of cold stone locations they will just roughly mix in the toppings, but he put his whole back into making our ice creams. I mean he completely mixed them into new flavors it was delicious. He deserves a raise for making the best cold stone ice cream I?ve ever had!!!!
I visited this place after reading numerous reviews, but I personally did not enjoy it. We tried the banana caramel crunch in a small cup, and it was disappointing. The banana flavor completely dominated the ice cream; I could barely taste the caramel and vanilla until the second-to-last bite. Additionally, the prices are quite steep—around $8-9 for a small cup, which I wouldn't mind if the quality matched the cost. The shop itself was also poorly maintained and could use a good cleaning. There is a small outdoor seating area as well. Overall, it was just an average experience, and I wouldn’t go out of my way to visit just for ice cream.
I visited this Cold Stone location about two weeks ago with my husband. I grew up with Cold Stone and, having moved away from my hometown, I often find myself craving it. I decided to splurge on a pint of Chocolate Devotion to avoid the lengthy 30+ minute drive from my house. However, when I got home, I discovered that they had mixed coconut shavings and some kind of nuts into my ice cream, despite my nut allergy. I should have sensed trouble when I walked in and noticed how filthy the floor and the stone preparation area were. It was just unbelievable.
