This would have to be one of the best eateries in Tasmania, the steak is served with a butter knife which goes to show just how tender it is.Owner operators, Julie as front of house/waitress and Jean Claude as the Chef, no fuss just very friendly and very competent service with food to die for. You will need to book well in advance as they have limited seating and are very popular. I would thoroughly recommend this establishment.

Beautiful home setting with the best steak I've ever had, I recommend the Bearnaise sauce. Always changing the dessert menu and making it incredibly difficult to decide what to choose.

Our 3-generation family of 7 all thoroughly enjoyed Le Provençal. The entrees and mains are all generous and delicious and the desserts are worth leaving some room for if you possibly can! We admired the clever art work on the walls. BYO wine is a real bonus at a restaurant of this quality.

This is an amazing small restaurant run by a couple, one of whom is the chef, (from France).The menu is seasonal and is traditional French cuisine. It is consistently beautifully prepared and presented and delicious. Desserts are amazing. The service is impeccable with a friendly, efficient yet unobtrusive style. To top things off, it is a BYO venue, so you can enjoy your own choice of wine without exorbitant prices.It is a popular spot, so book well advance otherwise you may miss out.

This is a fabulous restaurant set up in a converted home cleverly decorated to give you the feel of being in provincial France. The hostess gave us a warm welcome and was very attentive to our needs. The food was amazing, I had the steak, my husband had the beef cheeks both delicious. The restaurant is licensed and BYO, we did BYO. Parking right out front of the restaurant was a treat for us coming from busy Melbourne. We very much enjoyed our night and felt the meal was excellent value. I would highly recommend this restaurant. I recommend booking as it is a small, family fun business.
