Contribuiți la feedbackThe restaurant moved one block up from its original location which means not that many people visit it during lunch time, and when we went there it was empty, which meant that we received our order very quickly which was great and of course the waitress was very attentive. The food was great value and delicious. Between us we had the prawn dumplings, pork wontons, vegetarian rolls, and chicken/pork wonton soup. Plus $8 for corkage. Total was around $60.
These guys were at the Taste of Tasmania! The guy at the counter was rude inflexible and the food was awful! It amazes me that these types of businesses still operate when there are so many good quality businesses in Hobart now! Do they actually understand the power of response??
When this restaurant was down the street closer to the mall we really enjoyed it, it was very good value, tasty and fresh Chinese food. We had not visited in a while so decided it was worth a return. It was almost full on a Wednesday, which we took as a good sign. This was a mistake.Unlike others the waitress was fine, she took our orders and service was solid through out the meal. The meal though was very ordinary. Though not expensive it is not cheap. Most dishes start at 19$ and go up. Seafood the most expensive. As a party of 5 we shared several mains. The fried rice was a strange grey colour that detracted from the eating. The soy honey chicken was acceptable but had very little taste of honey. The 5 spice pork in pottery was simply bland, way way over cooked. Pepper fried beef was the best of a very average meal. The duck with sweet sour pineapple sauce was horrid. It looked like and tasted like the chef had dropped all of a bottle of tomato sauce into it with a dash of vinegar. Very ordinary. To top it off the beer was warm.Sadly will not be returning unless we here that get their act together.
We decided to give Hejo's a go for dinner despite the not so great reviews. We booked via their website which didn't end up going through however we didn't need to bother booking as we were the only diners in the restaurant the whole time we were there. This place is clearly running a side business with the amount of people coming in and out constantly to buy what looked like eels or some other live seafood. Even though we were the only diners service was still terrible and we ended up ordering at the counter after waiting goodness knows how long for a waitress. The food took over 40mins, again as the only diners there we thought it was strange. When the food finally arrived it was ok, nothing to write home about and we wouldn't bother going back again to eat it. This is worth a miss for the non existent service and average food. Head to Sawak, Dragon Bowl or Awu instead for great food and service.
Worst resterant in North hobart Poor presintation resterant and foodDuck was dry seved on a cold plate Sea food dish had very little sea food Dishes came out one at a time with quite a delay between them .Had trouble understanding what a light beer was even though it was on the drink menu. Fish tank was filthy and no fish staff had no idea of taking orders or table service Asked for salt and pepper and they cameAnd took the pepper back to the kitchen Only had the one shaker. And our group of 4 were the only diner's Every picture tells a story. While dinning at least 25 migrants came in to the resterant and disappeared into the kitchen and nerver seen again??????.
