Lussmanns - Hitchin

My friends and I had lunch at Lussmanns on Thursday and we had a great time. The restaurant is clean and well-lit, and the service was exceptional. We opted for the fixed price menu, which had everything we wanted from the a la carte menu. It was a fantastic deal. The Kipper Pate was tasty, and the Sole was expertly cooked and plated. The South African Sauvignon Blanc paired perfectly with the fish. Overall, it was a lovely experience and we can't wait to go back again.

I was very disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. We were seated at a table in the corner near the door, far from the main dining area. The ambiance was non-existent and it felt like an odd place to enjoy a meal. The food was tasteless and uninspiring, with watery and unappealing vegetables. The flat bread was not worth its high price. I will not be coming back, as I do not enjoy paying for overpriced and mediocre meals.

The food was outstanding, with the set menu offering great value. The service was friendly and attentive, without being overbearing. I particularly appreciated that water was provided without having to ask, as it's these small touches that enhance the overall dining experience."

The service is not great and the food is over rated over priced wouldnt go again Would be nice to have bill placed on a plate and put in front of you rather than heres you bill this is our 2nd visit thought we would try again as havnt been for a long time would not recommend

The set menu had a good range and included a chicory salad with ewes' cheese, kipper pate, sole, steak and chips, rhubarb with orange sorbet and date pudding were all delicious. The waiter was attentive and friendly and we had an enjoyable and relaxed lunch.
