The Railway Diner - Hillsborough

Out of the way diner. Good food and plenty of it. Staff was friendly. If you are into a fancier place to eat, this is not it. But it was clean and we prefer eating in the places where the locals eat.

We were driving by after Hopewell Rocks and had the fish and chips and fish sandwich.

My wife and I visited this restaurant on our way back from Hopewell Rocks. We received great service and enjoyed the amazing fish and chips. The deep fried pickle chips were awesome, and the club sandwich was wicked. This place is fantastic.

Had a little private room for family gathering. Food was great. We all had little left over on plates. Friendly staff. Highly recommend ya stop in and Tues eve cruize has large turn out of nice old cars too.

Big fan of the breakfast special. Could hardly finish er off, potatoes were spot on. Bottomless coffee’s. Can’t wait for my next visit.
