The Runway Kitchen - Hillingdon

Booked last minute as couldn’t get in anywhere else on Father’s Day but it was a good move. Food was great and if you like big portions you can’t go wrong!

Terrible experience. we visited the runway for a reservation in advance for the vatertag booked. we got a call from one of the coworkers there to make sure we were still present, what we confirmed was that we were. When we arrived, we were advised that the kitchen was closed and they were not able to serve us. when we demonstrated the proof of the booking, we were then told that they must "serve." we ordered our dishes immediately, as it was clear from the personal that they would not be there. when our eating arrived almost an hour later, my father was missing in the law dinner. the personal then went into question again and again whether we had missed something from the order, although the system showed the schirrer that we lost was actually ordered. we did not receive an apologies from any employee at this point, because we did not wish to be content with denying our table, not waiting for an hour to eat and not to give up something from the order. for the hospitality, which is quite poor! Finally, when we all had finished eating, we stayed for 40 minutes without a worker checking whether we were finished or dessert! at this time the chef had closed the kitchen so that we were not able to order dessert even if the staff had offered. no co-worker comes to our table, so we were forced to leave the table as a group and stand at the bar to watch the staff's employees while we requested our bill. the bill arrived and we had calculated the full price for what was an incredibly unpleasant and disappointing experience. the manager there was rude, inconspicuous and 'smirked/smiled' during my complaint to her. terrible service and unfortunately will not be back!

Booked online and when we arrived at the runway, it was closed. if they are looking online, it means that it is permanently closed. there was no warning by email or phone. very disappointed.

Last visit on the day of the day, people around us were not happy at all. our food came before a table that had only been served part of their order and had waited so long that they remained unfeeded! we felt uncomfortable. we said they had problems with the staff. we will try again. he hoped that it was a good departure, as before had done good experiences.

Booked a table for Father's Day when we arrived was advised there would be a bit of a wait for food we accepted this as for freshly cooked food there is always a wait. We ordered drinks then starters, they arrived however we ended up waiting an hour and a half and our main courses still did not arrive. They apologised for the delay and said they had a backlog of orders, there was only about 6/7 tables. As compensation we did not have to pay for our drinks or starters. We left hungry
