They do really good fish n chips at ruby takeaways,  tonight i thought id try some chinese, and i wasnt disappointed. i got a $45 platter and $5 chips which fed 5 adults. best takeaways this side of town.

Love this place clean yum fish n chips and chinese always packed fat wontons pork fried rice delish would give it a 5 if they had homemade spring rolls in there packs

Was driving back from Auckland late this avo and decided on some Chinese takeaways for dinner as it was getting late. I ordered wonton soup with extra broccoli. And they gave me the extra broccoli at no extra cost. The wontons were fresh and very tasty. Best soup I have had for a while. I have had fish and chips from Ruby's before and have always enjoyed them. Fish has always been spot on. Nice to see a well run clean takeaway so well done Ruby's.

It is rare (in Hamilton, actually probably anywhere to get a good fish and chips shop that is also a good Chinese takeaways.<br/ That is why I was pleasantly surprised that Ruby's is great at both!<br/ <br/ Great fish and chip deals.<br/ You can tell they use clean oil from the yellow tinge of the chips.The burgers always contain a satisfactory amount of melted CHEESE (if you're not a melted cheese fan stay away from the burgers that include cheese, you will regret it! <br/ After them being great at fish and chips, I was hesitant about trying their Chinese (As I said rare to have a place good at both <br/ <br/ I thought I would give their Sweet and Sour pork ago (I had given up on ordering sweet and sour pork anywhere in Hamilton as they so often now days have the pork chewy, small and soggy and I end up being disappointing I ordered it <br/ <br/ But this was awesome! instantly the best Sweet and sour Pork I have tried in Hamilton. (like how it should be, tender pork, thick batter with outside tad crispy <br/ <br/ So now I go to this place for all my Chinese, fish and chips takeaways! and I recommend you try it!

Great local takeaway. Delicious hearty Chinese food packed with flavour. Chicken fried rice is a go to favourite. Nice fish and chip options as well the chips are always cooked to perfection, crispy/fluffy and well salted. Highly recommended for a good night in. Accessible from the street front or the back carpark, with counters at both ends.
