Machu Picchu - Heredia

The food and the service here are impeccable! we came to a late dinner at our arrival in the city and it was the perfect way to start our adventure! the risotto lomito saltado was from this world! we ordered all the fish of the day and it was the best fish we had in costa rica and the first week we stayed on the beach! the pollenperuana was also delicious and delicate and juicy! very recommended and will definitely be back!

This place is as authentic as they come. The ceviche is the real deal. Big lumps of fresh fish with the real rocoto pepper juice. Comes with corn and juca and sweet potatoes and of course the onions. Yummy. The main course was a fish with fresh seafood on top. With some sort of a tomato sauce. It is delicious. Their beef with shrimp was just ok. I tried a little bit from my friend. The beef was not the most tender and the rest of the shrimp was cooked with no sauce or anything which is a small bummer for the dish. It does come with some grilled vegetables and cut pieces of sliced garlic for taste. My friend did enjoy the surf and turf however not so much the shrimp. For dessert, i ordered the coconut flan and it is a piece of art. Delicious, not so creamy or heavy but just the right amount of sweet. I highly recommend this place.
