Liena's Kitchen - HEPBURN SPRINGS

I would have stayed but the place was like an icebox; it was so cold that I decided on the spot to opt for takeout instead. I ordered chicken curry and steamed rice. The curry chicken sauce appeared as though it may have contained either cornflour or rice flour; and the faint curry flavour had absolutely zero 'zing' to it. Very disappointing.

Tiny little restaurant - we enjoyed a lovely meal of dumplings , noodles and elderberry flower tea. Authentic Chinese experience. Very friendly hostess. Range of Chinese teas and teapots to purchase also. Very cute shop. We enjoyed.

Visited Liena's Kitchen Saturday night May 2017. I enjoyed the vegan rice and spring rolls. Liena's Kitchen has a charming atmosphere: beautiful music and decor; I felt transported to a different world. The waitress was friendly and helpful making the experience very positive. The mountain spring green tea was refreshing with a pleasant taste. I would recommend to friends.

Please come here and have a dumpling lunch. Daggy decor, small tables, FANTASTIC food. Seriously as good as we had living in Hong Kong. Needs another star. One of those small tucked between the big restaurants gems

Visited here while driving back to Melbourne from Ballarat. I had heard about Lienas but never visited before. What a great find. Majority of the menu is gluten free or coeliac friendly- fantastic. We opted for prawn, pork, chicken and vegetarian dumplings and a serve of seafood spring rolls. A serve of dumplings (3 to a serve) is $9. The spring rolls (5 to a serve) $10. Pots of tea vary and we opted for an $8 green tea. Note all these items are gluten free. My daughter who does not require GF opted for spring rolls (non-gf variety)- $5. She loved them. The soy sauce is homemade. The seating is somewhat limited so get in early or you may miss out. The woman who served us, i presume was Liena, was a very friendly lady who was very helpful. Well done and thank you for serving GF asian cruisine which is so very hard to find. We will visit again.
