Spice Merchant Henley On Thames

I have had Afternoon Tea at Spice Merchant in Cookham on a couple of occasions and very much enjoyed the experience. However, Henley was an entirely different kettle of fish. We had both veg and meat versions and much of what was offered on the menu was not present, with no alternatives being offered. NO ginger potatoes. NO pakoras. NO scones. NO selection of teas. Vegetable wrap was filled with paneer, not vegetables; an issue since two other dishes were already paneer. Orange and chocolate cake was dry and hard. Peas in samosa filling were undercooked and hard. I took friends especially for the experience and frankly, it was was an embarrassment.

Excellent Indians take on the afternoon tee. really delicious every bit. all washed with a glass prosecco.

An upscale Indian restaurant with a modern and welcome feel to it. Great food, too!

The service and food here were really good. I couldn't give 5 stars as the ladies loos need a serious overhaul, they let the great decor in the rest of the restaurant down.
