Base Camp Cafe - HAZELWOOD PARK

I recently went back to Basecamp after some time and unfortunately, it seems like nothing has improved. The staff was unhelpful and extremely unfriendly. We only had a croissant and coffee, and none of our interactions with the staff were pleasant. If you're considering trying this place out, I recommend skipping it altogether.

I will never go back to this restaurant again after the owner responded to my complaint about my lunch in a rude and aggressive manner.

Visit the area and call for lunch. After waiting on the counter, we were told that the kitchen was closed. It was 1,15pm!!! Went over the street and had fabulous service lunch.

The icy oat latte ordered. After we placed the cafe in our drinks pots of normal milk, we went back to look for an exchange, the owner said rude and unapologetic, that is what you have ordered and that is what you have! Offer to...simply scoop from the diary ice cream or buy another drink without milk in it! Amazingly rude and completely inhospitable will never go there again. Base Camp as simple, disgusting and rude.

Went for a morning coffee. Whilst the beverage was acceptable, the side serving of judgement about my “naturopath being proud of me” for my almond milk selection was totally unnecessary. Some people actually don’t like the taste of regular milk (especially when used to lactose...free alternatives at home due to kids who can’t drink the regular stuff). Zero chance I’ll ever return. I also found it ironic that they have such a strict “no mask no entry” policy (fair enough, it is the times we live in) but half the staff behind the counter can’t seem to understand that masks actually need to be worn over their nose and mouth…
