Mae's Que House - Hazel Crest

Before placing my order, I requested a sample, as most restaurants usually provide a rib tip with sauce. I felt as though I was offending the cook, who seemed to be poorly hired. Eventually, I received a sample, but I found it to be dry, overcooked, and tasting of char. I won’t return for that reason, although the woman at the front was pleasant and accommodating. I'm not surprised they've gone out of business; I’ve never seen any customers since they opened!

The chicken and turkey tips are absolutely delicious. I really enjoy the green apple coleslaw!

The food is really good. I was a little disappointed at the waiting time. 30 minutes was the only one.

The food is really good. They run out of some things, but that can be a good thing considering how in demand they are because they taste good. So order your food early to avoid this problem. Avoid that Ribs and Soul change hands and clearly not as good as being used.... This is my way to the BBQ restaurant.

I gave 3 stars only because I wasn't happy with the smoked mac cheese which was dry and the greens had too many stems and need to be cooked a little longer. The BBQ ribs and baked beans were awesome! So was the cream pound cake.
