Vent du Large Restaurant - Havre-Aubert

We had lunch in Vent Du Large, beautiful place overlooking the water and has a very large outdoor terrace. A group called Endless Summer was there to make a video. Ch. De La Grave Havre-Aubrey is a small village on the island beautiful place... to relax. The Madeleines is a quiet island, has not seen a bus at all, needs a car to get around. We went to a smokehouse where they smoke herrings, a cheese factory where the milk comes from Canadian cows known for their high quality milk, and the wooden churches and a church has a glass window with Jesus in rubber boots, I am glad I went to the island.

We came to les Îles in the evening and looked for a suitable place for a late dinner for our accommodation. Looks like a beautiful place, so we went in and asked for a table. Server said we sat down and they'll find us. Unfortunately no one did this, so after we waited about ten minutes, we left. Not a great start to the trip

We had a very nice lunch. The oysters were excellent, and the sweet potato and orange cream soup was delicious. The fish dough was also excellent. The service was slow.

The location is beautiful with sea view, and the decor has a very beautiful New England nautical feeling. We thought the food was like that. We stopped for lunch and had nothing remarkable about fish and chips, quite standard... pub type of preparation. Just at this moment it seemed to be understaffed, but we were pleasantly surprised that our server spoke English and answered our questions easily. Overall, pleasant enough if you are looking for a meal by the sea.

Our first lunch in Îles de la Madeleine was a memorable one. We had the fish and chips which was as fresh as you can get, sipped a glass of wine and soaked in the ambiance of the view of the water right in front...of us. The service was superb and the food, delicious! Highly recommend!
