Republic At The Linden - Hartford

We made a reservation two weeks in advance and were promptly seated upstairs for dinner. Our server greeted us right away to take our appetizer and drink orders, but it took 40 minutes for our two glasses of wine and two draft beers to arrive. Additionally, we waited about 25 minutes without any water until the hostess noticed our empty glasses and kindly filled them from a nearby pitcher, just as we finished our appetizers. The food was delicious, and we enjoyed our chosen drinks. Although we saw several other servers efficiently attending to tables, our server unfortunately struggled to be clear, timely, accessible, and accurate, even mixing up our drink order. We would like to give Republic another try, as we loved the food and atmosphere. It seemed more like an unfortunate experience with our server rather than a reflection of the restaurant itself.

Delicious food, fantastic service, excellent drinks, and a wonderful atmosphere. This place is truly a fantastic and relaxed spot to enjoy.

This restaurant is beautiful and has a wonderful ambiance. We visited on a Friday night with a large group, and the service was excellent. There was live music, which was a nice touch. The drinks were amazing; I tried the old-fashioned, which was delicious but slightly too sweet for my taste. The salmon was outstanding, infused with a strong mustard flavor that I absolutely loved—perfect for mustard enthusiasts. The steak frites were decent, but the doneness varied significantly from what we ordered. One of my friends received a well-done steak instead of the medium rare she requested. Overall, I would definitely consider returning if I find myself in Hartford again, though that may be unlikely.

My boyfriend and I are both vegetarians and were blown away by this restaurant! The hostess Stephanie was so friendly, as were our bartenders. We shared the crispy brussels sprouts, hummus plate, and sage polenta plus some violet cocktails the bartender created for us. We left very full and very happy! We are traveling from out of state but will be sure to come back here if ever in the area again. Thanks for an outstanding night and for welcoming our service animal!

Beautifully decorated restaurant with bar downstairs and outdoor patio seating. The atmosphere was nice and cozy. The service was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious. I ordered grilled prawns which was flavorful but the shrimps were not fresh. My friend ordered pork knuckle. According to her, it’s okay. If you get tickets to a show at Bushnell, you could get 10% off. But you need to ask the waiter person.
