Contribuiți la feedbackI been looking for good mexican food since I'm originally from New Mexico and this place was so good. Customer service was excellent too!!
Best Mexican food in the area! Nice people and good service! The nachos are a must try!
My new favorite place. I’ll be back. Excellent food, service, and atmosphere.
About a year ago, my husband and I got to our regular Mexican restaurant only to find that it was closed. We made our way to El Nopal, as it as nearby, and since then, we've put this restaurant on a regular rotation, coming at least once a month. The restaurant is family owned and operated. It does a really busy take out business so it always looks empty. The restaurant is very clean and there is plenty of seating. Service is quick and friendly. Chips and salsa come out quickly. All of the food is homemade and made fresh when you order it, so there is a few minute wait (whereas we notice that a lot of Mexican places serve the main dishes VERY quickly probably because the food is microwaved! . It's always delicious the tamales are yummy; nachos, queso, guac are all good. I like the enchiladas suisa and ground beef tacos. My husband gets veggie burritos and quesadillas. They don't have a bar, but honestly, it doesn't matter. The food is that good, and we always feel good about supporting a small local business. In terms of parking, there is ample free parking in the parking lot near the restaurant. Totally recommend El Nopal!
Of all the Spanish speaking Cafe's, Bodegas, restaurants , coffee shops and Bakery's one could visit on all of Park St, El Nopal restaurant is the finest of them all.A quaint little box tucked into the West side, I was absolutely enamored by the whole place.I was so hungry, I just ordered some yellow corn soup, a Beef and Chicken Taco and an ice water with lime. After a bit of a wait, The Waitress/ Manager/Owner woman brought out some Papusa looking Tacos, double sided, and a steaming bowl of rich and hearty soup.I asked her what part of Mexico and she said Oaxaca. That explained so much , as the southern flare of Mexico came wafting up from my healthy sized plate.I would not hesitate in finding this treasure of a Mexican eatery, with flavors of El Salvador.Tucked in right next to Brazil Chirauasca at the end of Madison St, there you'll find El Nopal, this most delightful Spanish establishment.?️? ?
