Nestled in the heart of Savannah, The Ordinary Pub exceeded all expectations during our recent visit. From the moment we stepped inside, the ambiance perfectly captured the essence of this charming city. The warm, inviting decor and subtle Southern touches set the stage for a memorable evening. Our journey began with the irresistible Fried Green Tomato Caprese, a delightful twist on a classic dish. The flavors were vibrant, and each bite was a testament to the chef's skillful execution. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the Mouth-watering Shrimp and Grits. The shrimp were perfectly cooked, and the creamy grits had just the right amount of seasoning, making it a quintessential Southern comfort food experience. For those seeking something unique, the Fried Bison Steak did not disappoint. Tender and full of rich flavor, it was a true testament to the chef's ability to elevate traditional dishes. Throughout our meal, the service was impeccable. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable, ensuring that every aspect of our dining experience was seamless. A special mention goes to the executive chef, who was visible in the restaurant, overseeing operations and even taking a moment to check on diners. It was clear that passion and dedication were infused into every dish that left the kitchen. Before we left we made sure to let the chef know everything was GREAT! We even called him DADDY.
Down into a dark, well laid out sections of cozy areas with backdrops of arched bricks, said to be 200 years old! The brussel sprouts are to die for. Our waitress Palmer was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, several other friendly and attentive staff were great too!
Had the chicken and corn cake and club. HUGE portions and good food. Lunch.
Stumbled upon this pub while walking with my husband. From the time we walked in the service was stellar! We order the cornbread, chicken lollipops , two ordinary burgers, one with loaded fries, and two cocktails. Everything was phenomenal! The burgers were a blend of brisket and short rib and they were hands down the best burgers my husband and I have EVER had. I loved the aesthetic as well. We cannot wait to return. I highly recommend to anyone looking for delicious, hand crafted food.
