Yellow Bird Cafe - Hammond

This is my fourth visit to this restaurant and I always enjoy the food. The service can be a bit slow at times due to how crowded they are, but it's worth the wait. This is a reliable breakfast spot with a mix of Mexican and American options. I particularly enjoy the Mexican style choices to balance out my salty taste buds after indulging in black beans and tortillas followed by pancakes. I suggest asking for a glass of ice on the side for the fresh squeezed orange juice. The portions are generous for the price.

This restaurant is a hidden gem in downtown Hammond. Their fresh orange juice is amazing. Everything we tried was tasty, with some non-traditional items that were still good. My breakfast was a bit bland in terms of seasoning, possibly to cater to the large senior citizen demographic. After adding some extra seasoning at home, it was much better. While there were some aspects I didn't love, I still liked it enough to consider returning. There is probably something on the menu that everyone can enjoy, you just have to discover it.

The food is phenomenal and decently priced, tables and bathrooms are always clean, and the employees are always so sweet to us. Me and my girlfriend go once a month and we plan on keeping that going!
