Waffle House - Hammond

This isn’t the best Waffle House I've been to. The food was excellent, and the waitstaff were incredibly friendly, even welcoming my dog. However, the humidity in the area caused condensation to drip from the ceiling onto the tables and food, which was a bit off-putting. Just a part of life in Louisiana, I suppose.

It's Waffle House, folks! As a truck driver, I've been to countless locations, often conveniently situated near truck stops. Usually, the quality of service varies with the local demographics, but this particular spot was a standout. I was fortunate to be served by Dixie, a true Southern treasure. She took my order, brought my drink, and kept it filled without me even needing to ask. Dixie was remarkably attentive and efficient in her duties. Despite the restaurant being busy, everything functioned smoothly, with the staff seamlessly working together. My food arrived hot, quickly, and it was absolutely delicious. If you're in the area, make sure to stop by—you won't regret it! And don't forget to say hello to the Gangster Granny! Thank you, Miss Dixie.

Our server took a little while to come to our table, but once she did, the service was outstanding. An older lady attended to us and made us feel very welcome, ensuring we had a great dining experience. The food came out quickly, and our eggs were cooked to perfection. Many Waffle Houses and breakfast places often have trouble with eggs, so hats off to them for getting it right!
