Contribuiți la feedbackI visited the restaurant on December 23rd. Around half of the tables were occupied. The menu had been changed for Christmas, offering mostly Christmassy items and a "quiche". We ordered two quiches, which took 35 minutes to arrive. Unfortunately, the quiches were disappointing - they were thin, with just a layer of egg and no cheese or onion. It seemed like the filling was mainly egg and milk mix, with very little flavor. We didn't complain when asked if everything was okay, as it was cooked as intended. The tea we ordered was cold by the time the food arrived, and overall, the experience was a wasted opportunity for a nice lunch in the countryside.
A group of 6 of us stopped by for lunch after a walk and Christmas gathering, and it was fantastic. The cozy café had warm, friendly service. Most of us chose the beef Sunday dinner, which was delicious. We also enjoyed hot and cold drinks, as well as cakes and puddings that were all tasty and reasonably priced. We have visited Lordstones on multiple occasions now and it never disappoints. I would highly recommend it!
It has been quite some time since I last visited this restaurant (over a year), but we arrived on a rainy, half-term day after a walk in the Country Park. The staff were welcoming and attentive, and they provided us with menus, allowing us to choose our own seating. The tables were clean and well-spaced, and the decor was pleasant. The menu offered a wide variety of options for both small and large appetites, including hot and cold dishes. Our drinks order was taken quickly and brought to us promptly, followed by our food order. We opted for a Meatball Marinara panini sandwich with salad and chips, as well as a Coronation chicken sandwich with salad. Both dishes arrived promptly and were beautifully presented, and they tasted delicious. The chips were particularly excellent. The interaction with the manager, who served us, was friendly, efficient, and prompt. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we will definitely be returning soon. Thank you.
This is a beautiful location set in an area of outstanding beauty but is not dog friendly, you have beautiful stone flooring that is easily cleaned from muddy paws and muddy boots so i wonder why there is no dog area? I understand not everyone is a dog lover, but to totally exclude us is a shame. I know we can sit outside in your covered area but really its nearly November, would you?
Beautiful cafe and very friendly.’Toilets tip top! Interesting shop! Amazing stone circle and panoramic views for miles
