The Crown - Hambleton

We have visited the Crown many times and their Parmos are some of the best around. The chips are also outstanding.

I was really looking forward to lunch but was left very disappointed. I went to this restaurant for my birthday and ordered the small beef for Sunday lunch. To my dismay, the portion size was incredibly small - only 2 slices of beef! To make matters worse, I found a hair in my food and had to send it back to be reheated, only for it to come back with another hair in it. For dessert, I tried the Eaton mess, which consisted of just 1 strawberry cut in half at the bottom of the dish with no sauce. What a disaster! I will not be returning to this restaurant and would not recommend it to others.

My family and I went to this restaurant for Sunday lunch. We all ordered the lamb dinner, which came with a variety of vegetable options. For dessert, we had a delicious crumble and jam sponge with custard. The service we received from the friendly and attentive staff was excellent. We will definitely be returning to dine here again.

Just back from a visit,very impressed,food staff,atmosphere were first class.Very nice place,prices are very reasonable,food was very good,portions are good. Overall a great place,i would reccomend and will return,10 out of 10.

My wife and I decided on a late lunch and decided on the Crown. What a great choice. Friendly staff, good selection on the menu to choose from, the ambience and decor is lovely and the place is spotlessly clean. My wife decided on the small Haddock , a very generous portion, beautifully cooked arrived. I chose the steak and mushroom pie with veg and chips., thouroughly enjoyed up our meals.
