Fong Sing Restaurant - Halifax

I put a review in last night about7pm. On my dish, I had #9. Rise was so so. Chicken balls were good but, the guy ding was not good at all .it was like, they did the sauce with a flour. It was lumpy. And the texture was gross. I've had lots of guy ding. I never had it like this before. I want to call them, but I won't bother with that. You can make up your mind if you eat there. I don't think I'll go back. In this day and age. I don't think Restaurants can cut corners. Also ,Shengs is using frozen vegetables. Not good.

I want to compliment the Fong Sing on its excellent delivery service. During the winter months I find it hard to get out, but their delivery is always accurate, courteous and prompt. I always TELEPHONE my order, and pay CASH at the door. So many restaurants are making it hard to do that now, but I only patronize those that accept cash or debit at the door. I do not use the new-fangled delivery services (Uber Eats or whatever it is called) that so many are obsessed with these days. I like the PERSONAL touch! keep up the good work and personal touch Fong Sing.

Got the beef pho was very good and there is a lack of pho options in Bayers lake definitely consider here if you are craving pho.

The Fong Sing is excellent. I eat there every week. The food is delicious, served piping hot, and the portions are large. It had very reasonable prices too, and the service is friendly.

I knoew it would be small, and with covid, half the tables were not in use. They appear to do a great take out. We had dinner for 2. the real only thing that was good was the wonton soup. The rice was gold and sticky not in a good way) the chow mein was at least hot. The honey garlic spare ribs were tough and over cooked. We did bring attention to the fact our bill was incorrect. I can find better places to spend 54.00 on a dinner for two. My husband has been sick since we got home last night. We definately will not be back.
