Schatzie's German Deli - Hagerstown

Always a special treat to come here when visiting family! They have a delicious deli and wonderful German selections everytime, that we used to enjoy while living in Germany! I miss the bratwurst und brotchen they have here...

If you're in Hagerstown and hungry, just drive here now. Schatzie's has amazing German food and a nice market to boot. My wife grew up in Germany and was able to find a lot of the things she missed (authentic brotchen, weisswurst, zweibach. Get a hot bratwurst sandwich with homemade warm German potato salad and stay for a slice of cake and coffee. The market has a decent selection of canned, non-perishable, and freezer section.

This is a lovely and welcoming spot! They offer a limited but delightful selection of German essentials for us expats. You can also find a few sandwiches and some cake. The service is incredibly friendly! They really know how to take care of their customers!

The name might be a bit misleading since it's not really a deli. However, they do have a great selection of hard-to-find foods, including real Kinder eggs! The ambiance is pleasant, and it feels like they’d be happy for you to stick around and enjoy the space if you wanted to.

I absolutely loved it! The atmosphere is fantastic, and the young lady named Barbara is delightful. The staff genuinely engages in conversation with their customers—they truly care. The overall vibe is so joyful. I will definitely be returning. I highly recommend visiting this place!
