Rare Bird Pub - Guysborough

Nicely decorated pub right on the main street of Guysborough town. Standard pub menu. Brewpub beers offered and were yummy (sampled the IPA and the Lager).

Fish & chips were good! Fish was fresh. The beer on tap was flat! One server for the whole pub. This was on a Wednesday night which was Ceildeh night. The last call for food was 7:00. The pub closed at 8:00! Not great if just arriving in the Town looking for a bite to eat.

A decent selection of beers but no ciders. The deck is an excellent place to watch the Wednesday night Ceildeh. There is a nice view from the deck.

We visit the Rare Bird during our family get-togethers in the Summer. It is a nice homey atmosphere to enjoy a relaxing meal, while resting your bones in the wonderful area. The menu is limited but the food is good, and staff arevery friendly
