Rainforest Cafe Chicago Gurnee

Great place to take your kids or grandkids. Burgers were juicy and portions large. It was fun, just make sure they’re not afraid of loud noises when the gorillas and tigers wake up. Lots of fun!

We had a group of older women, most reminiscing about when they took their grandkids to RainForest. So we knew about the theatrics, the noise level and were prepared for that. Our server was absolutely wonderful. The biggest concern I had was trying to get seated. I’m guess there is a policy of not seating a group until all are there. We are all 65 years and older, some with canes. The entrance staff refused to seat us when seven out of our 10 were there, insisting we had to stand and wait. I was able to finally convince her to allow us to be seated and direct the later ones to our table. If the place had been busy and crowded I would understand. At best it was 25% filled. Be prepared for exceptions.

Gage was a great, attentive server, one of the best we’ve had during our many visits to different locations.

The food was plentiful and the atmosphere is great fun for kids. It's too bad the other locations have closed down but we drove over 80 miles for this second time since August. We very much enjoyed it.

Food was iffy kids love the experience for sure. Wish the food was better tho shrimp was terrible
