Laura is an amazing cook, and by the end of our stay she was creating meals especially for us. Mario made us feel like part of the family. They grow much of their own food, and we were even invited to come in one morning to learn to make pasta! It was clear we had found what we were looking for: a non-touristy restaurant with good local food and great atmosphere.
We have visited this restaurant several times during our week long stay in Guiglia and have thoroughly loved every single meal. The chef and her husband have gone out of their way to make us feel welcome. Just a hint, try the beef fillet in balsamic sauce; it is truly memorable.
We visited this lovely local restaurant a few nights ago as we were staying locally. We were really keen to find an authentic place to eat and this was certainly it! The service was fantastic, with the waitress running through every dish on the menu for us, and offering to make a simple pasta forming of my kids who apparently didn't like anything. He loved this pasta and she made a real fuss of him so it's now his favourite place ever! We had pasta (gnocchi, tagliatelle) then a meat course (pork, wild pig!, beef) then a selection of nice ice creams and tasting menu of local deserts. We had a house prosecco and water, kids drinks, all in cost 90 euros which was an absolute bargain for the quality and volume of food which arrived. Fantastic welcome and wonderful food and awesome view from back terrace well worth a visit.
