Cortelha Da Burra - Guarda

Really good food, very friendly people. I especially loved the broiled grouper, super juicy and lovely sauce. We definately recommend this place.

We arrived very hungry at 4.30 to be told that the restaurant opened at 7pm. On seeing our dismay, the owner spoke to the kitchen and agreed to serve us. Nothing was too much trouble and we enjoyed a wonderful lamb dish in front of a roaring fire.

Cortelha da Burra, having recently suffered changes on the management team, is still the same old restaurant near Guarda where you can taste traditional food from the beautiful surroundings of Mondego and Serra da Estrela. Still, note that the food is good but not remarkable. On the other hand, you're in the countryside so expect portions able to feed an entire family coming into the table just for one person. Would recommend the cod. Service is very welcoming and talkative. :

Simpatia 5 estrelas, boa comida, bom vinho, excelente atmosfera, recomendo bacalhau da casa, super rápido, atento, excelente comida e acompanhamentos, entradas e sobremesas. Depois de 12 kms de passas, foi a melhor coisa que nos poderia ter acontecido.

Todo bien. Tanto el bacalao como el cordero, la ensalada de la gamba, el singlemillo etc. El trato fue muy bueno y rápido.
