Otto's Restaurant Bar - Greshamville

We love Otto 's and have been going there off and on for years. The food, service and atmosphere was always consistently good, so it was a definitely reliable go to if we wanted a nice meal. We might have hit on an off night, but despite a reservation we were seated right next to the kitchen entrance, the Front of House desk and the stairways for a group of 4. Lots of noise, staff communications and goings on but we know they 're busy (and the place was not very full, to be honest. . Our food was somewhat variable in quality this time, with some things not as good as other times we 've had them (e.g. lamb chops , but still reasonably tasty; maybe a new cook? Our server was very pleasant and very attentive the whole time, a delight, really and we weren 't there that late but at the end of our meal we were just handed the check without any inquiry about dessert/coffee or after dinner drinks. I still think Otto 's is a great place to eat and we will continue to go there, but this night seemed a little off. Every place has its ups and downs, but I hope this isn 't a trend. I still appreciate all that Otto 's has to offer and would normally give it a higher rating for our other previous visits.

We had a very pleasant dinner celebrating Mother's Day with my mom and grandmother. The food was great and came out in great portions for the price (duck, lamb chops, seafood trio).

The bartenders were inattentive to us. Just not the right personality for the job. The food was very good. The waitress was excellent. The appetizers came too late. So did the drinks. But we go again.

This place is a great place to go in Madison, great atmosphere great drinks and great food. If you haven’t been here, there is definitely a place you should check out. We go a couple times every year and I’ve never had a bad experience.

We ordered the Mediterranean appetizer platter and the Mediterranean Grill platter to share. Everything was delicious. The stuffed mushrooms and the Bruchetta were standouts. The lambchops were amazing, as well as the orzo. Our dessert was the Strawberry Napoleon, which was wonderful, the layers were crispy, and the cream filling was perfect. Alice was our server, and she did a great job. She made great suggestions and was very consistent. Next time, I would probably want to be on the outdoor patio. The attic room we were in was a little stuffy and got progressively loud as more people were seated. There will definitely be a next time!
