Four Flocks and Larder - Greensboro

The brunch was delicious! We got waffles and they were excellent. The room was very cool. The only two problems I had were that the coffee tasted as if it had been on the burner for a while, and our server, although very nice and helpful, could not be so attentive because it had to share its section between inside and outside on the terrace so that we had to wait longer than necessary to get refills or to take care of the review. We will definitely be back!

I tried the "southern fried chicken" dish and it was delicious! My husband opted for the chicken and dumplings, but he was not as impressed as I was. The dish only had 2 or 3 dumplings in it.

We really loved the food here! The dishes are so creative. And they have a variety of options for carnivores and vegetarians alike. I'll say the parts are on the small side for the price. However, this may be because they use local meat and products. Generally, the costs go down when restaurants do not use large chains to buy ingredients. The parts were not ridiculously small, but it would have been nice to have a little more. For example, the NY Strip was 8oz. But we really enjoy the food and the atmosphere. There is also a bakery right in the building for Desserts! And they have a small shop with unique cooking and bathroom items. We come back for special occasions!

Cute restaurant with potential. New summer menu lacked choices and seasoning. All portions were extremely small and overpriced. Out of the four of us, the only plate that didn’t require seasoning and was edible was the duck breast. The cocktails were great, as was our waiter. Overall, not impressed and not planning a return visit.

Our visit was disappointing from the beginning when we learned the menu had changed, and it had dramatically but the online version had not changed. One appetizer had a very small portion but was priced high. Two of the drinks from the bar were only 1/2 full in their glasses. New full drinks were provided and we weren't charged for them. For people who aren't particularly picky, our menu selections were a process of elimination. Menu was not appealing to most of us. Two of us became ill with stomach aches later that night and the next day. I had the roasted carrot salad and my friend had the duck which was very rare. Both tasted OK but we were the ones who were sick. Our server brought the check to our table before we were finished with our meal. She apologized and came back at a later, more appropriate time. There were very few patrons while we were there and none when we left around 930pm. In speaking with friends since our visit, there are not many compliments about the restaurant and that is disappointing because we liked the restaurant a lot before the chef and menu changes.
