We chose this restaurant because it is in the building that used to be my grandfather's gas station (1930's-1960's). The food was very good and the owners were quite friendly and accommodating to us. Nice trip down memory lane. I had my first taco ever back when this was the Sip n Sup in the late 1960s so it was fun to return to my roots. For those in the area, the oak tree in front of the house just a couple doors down (Winemaker's Assn) was planted from an acorn by mother!
Authentic mexican food. Had the taco plate. Atmosphere like a small cafe. Prices are good. No enchiladas.
During an RV trip to Greenfield we had one chance for lunch out. I selected El Michoacano. Each of the four of us had different meals and everyone was very pleased with the freshness, quality of ingredients and the amazing quantity. Only my wife was less pleased since she asked for ground beef in her enchilada and received roughly chopped beef. However, she said the taste was good.
The variety of toasts accompanied by their spicy sauces is excellent.
I absolutely adore the tortillas at this restaurant! I even schedule my trips from the Bay Area to Southern California around making a stop here to enjoy them.
