Grayslake Dog N Suds Drive-in

NOT IMPRESSED!!! Went and tried Dog N Suds for the first time and I was far from impressed with the quality of my order. The fries were luke warm at best and it seemed like it was only a half an order for the price. The Chicago Dog was not warm at all. Seemed like they turned off the steamer an hour ago and just let the dogs sit there pretending to stay warm. And the Texas Burger was less than desirable. It looked like they made it earlier and left it sit and decided it was time to get rid of it and give it to me. The chili sauce was all absorbed by the bun, there was barely any lettuce or special sauce on it, and it didn 't have any pickles on it that I asked for when I ordered it. The only reason I gave it 2 stars instead of one is because the server that helped me was quick, patient, and courteous. Overall, pretty disappointing for my first visit... and probably last visit.

The food is consistently great. It's a local gem and a fun place to bring the kids.

What a fantastic dining experience! The atmosphere is delightful, and the overall experience is truly enjoyable. The food is absolutely delicious! I ordered a Texas burger, and it was outstanding!

The prices here are fantastic compared to other places nearby, except for Big Jack's, which also offers great food at reasonable prices. The drive-in atmosphere is wonderful, complemented by the nostalgic music playing in the background. My only complaint is that they close during the fall and winter months; I would definitely stop by for takeout during that time. It would be a great idea to consider adding a drive-thru for the winter season!
