Contribuiți la feedbackThat was terrible. definitiw not Indian. reis was cold and soggy. nan brot was introduced definitiw and not fresh ugh. curry was cold and boiled. none of the currys tasted like Indian curry. the waiters have forgotten the orders. if they are looking...for a beautiful Indian restaurant do not come here. we asked for sweets; we got chickenssamosas and they were not bad.
After a long wait for the main course we have received a tasteless, uncooked Tandoori chicken and cold curry.
The owner was racist against Indians. Gave us a terrible look when we walked in. The food was terrible. They had given us uncooked food and the waiters gave terrible service just because we were Indians. Don’t go to this place if you an Indian.
This is the third or fourth time we eat at the Achiana, and it's each time a pleasant experience. Tasteful food, seasoned to your liking, good suggestions on what to go for from the crew, and a relaxed atmosphere in this small family run restaurant...will see us coming back again. Keep up the good work !
We'd been told good things about Achiana and then by chance one afternoon, we were strolling down a narrow street towards the cathedral when we were struck by the pungent smell of cumin and fennel seed, ginger and garam masala and other Indian spices. This...was not the usual floral aroma associated with Grasse, the Perfume Capital of the world. But it was striking and alluring all the same. The restaurant itself is tucked into a corner of the street and is utterly appealing. The interior is beautifully appointed, and the external dining terrace/area is bedecked with brightly coloured flowers. It's like stepping into a country garden in full bloom. As we'd already had lunch, we decided to return some other time; and did so, with two very dear French friends of ours a few nights later. What a feast we had! Everything was delicious, though the Gambas Tandoori was a personal favourite. The service was impeccable warm, friendly and helpful. And here's a tip be guided by the advice of the owner/s. You won't be disappointed. As for the price, we couldn't believe it. Outstanding value for money. So if you feel like a change from French cuisine, Achiana is the perfect choice.
