Fireside Inn - Goulburn

The decor is picturesque, and the atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable. The Scallop Entree was delicious and the eye fillet was perfectly cooked, medium rare. The service was attentive and friendly and while not cheap the bill was rediscoverable value.

Very cosy old English vibes. Not a particularly busy place (almost empty) on a weeknight. But attentive staff. By no means cheap eats but incredibly flavoursome meals. My steak was cooked to perfection. I particularly enjoyed the brulée with my meal a first that I've had brulee not on a dessert! All round delicious and enjoyable.

I recently rented a room at the fireside inn, with James Booth. I was staying here until I found a unit, but I had a very, very bad experience with both him his wife Spring. I was harassed on a daily basis by James, he was extremely rude, pulled out a knife on me, he was caught going through my room, while I was at work. James has made very innapropriate advantages towards myself other female tenets. Goulburn is a small town news travels fast. I hope no one supports this Bully the illegal renting of his rooms ceases. Shame on you, the goulburn community won't put up with a bully. Please under no circumstances support him, or his business. Disgusting behaviour.

Ordered two steaks at the place with friends. Mine is off and smell funny. Thought it could be me but my friend's one tastes all good. Would never cone back to this place it's disgusting.

This restaurant get one star only for the taste of the food. At my mother in laws 90th birthday party who is or was a weekly regular to the restaurant the management wanted to charge $1.50 per person Cakeage for the small plates and spoons to eat the.90th birthday cake of one of the regular customers. None of us will ever eat there again and neither should you......reply to your accusations of rudeness and lying by our group. Please don't try to cover up your pathetically bad service and cheapness by way of the requested $10.50 charge on a 90yo birthday party who was also one of you regular customers. You lies of offer of garnish off berries and cream was just that a lie and was not heard by any of the group including myself my husband and most definitely not by the birthday girl. Gosh thanks for storing the cake in your fridge for the hour or so you did on that Goulburn winters night and for not putting it in the oven or on the stove, youre above and beyond service is to be commended in this instance. Thanks again for your garnish to your food of poor quality service and a cheap and underwhelming experience. Thanks also for your reply which more adequately showcases your attitude to your customers, than any words I could say. Goulburn is a small town and I'm sure this news will get all around the town.
