Guests have the option to dine indoors or outdoors on warm, sunny days. The menu features a daily special that rotates between fish, meat, and vegetarian dishes. During my visit with friends, the special of the day was a delicious fish soup with mussels, shrimp, and cod. Other menu options included baked potatoes with Skagenröra, a chicken salad, and a vegetarian dish. More main dishes were available after 5 pm. Guests could also enjoy a selection of wine, beer, and coffee with sweets to end the meal in place of dessert. The restaurant had friendly and attentive young waitstaff, making it a pleasant place to enjoy lunch or dinner.
My family and I decided to go to this restaurant for dinner, but were disappointed with the expensive beach access fee of 30€ for a family of 4, plus parking costs. This pricing seemed uncharacteristic for Sweden, a country known for its many free beaches. Despite this, the restaurant did offer a nice view.
This restaurant could be improved. It seems like the cook may have had a bad day as the meat was just average. The service was friendly, the view was fantastic resembling the Mediterranean, and there is very easy, free parking available. Make sure to get your parking ticket from the staff.
As my first review has been banned, taken away, sencured? I will give it a second try. not so much about the food but the location itself. I have loved this place for the calmness, the waterfront, the easy access and everything else. Yesterday we went back only to find signs with Private this and Private that. one of the ladders for getting into the water had a sign saying Private. Now, add this and remember that you all pay a fee to get in here in the first place. second, its a public beach and Swedish law gives you the right to use every inch of the waterfront. And a private ladder? What is that? Stupid and nothing else. Stop it right there. Owners, step up and do the right thing if you want to keep us regular costumers for your place. Those signs made me just angry and sad. You can now make a choice to serve the few that wants private and then go bankrupt, or you can serve the big bunch that likes your beach and then be fortunate and healthy. Your choice!
We sat down with a larger group of friends at a table outside as we were told to find one, ten minutes later a waitress comes around and states she does not know whether we can sit there. She leaves. Ten minutes later another one comes in and asks if we are ready to order (no menus were provided), walks away and takes another ten minutes to come back with menus. We ask for beer selection, and she stated she doesn’t drink beer and so she does not know what beers they have. At least she went back to get a list. We then order the classic shrimp sandwiches, they were served on the cheapest store bought pumpernickel style bread. They were the price of a great dinner in town. Overall a terrible experience. Next time we will bring a picnic.
