B & J's Restaurant & Ice Cream

My husband and I ordered burgers for lunch and were very pleased. The burgers were a nice size and quite tasty. The French fries were also very good. There seemed to be quite a few locals eating lunch there. Service was good and prices are reasonable.

Not a great experience. Went in a few months ago and found the waitress quite rude. Thought we would try again and got the same older lady as last time and found her even more rude this time. Food was nothing special and we paid way to much for what we got. We will not be giving this place a third chance.

Have ate here many times and always good food. Service is usually quick and meals always hot. Just got to watch the hours they are open.

Food and service were very good. We quizzed the chef about preparations and he responded without giving away secrets. Choice of desserts was quite good. Try the chocolate coconut cream pie.

There was a sign outside that advertised a new chef, and inside there were signs promoting homemade food. I was excited to try the cream of potato and bacon soup, but unfortunately, it was not good. I am not a picky eater, but I had to send it back. It seemed to be a fake cream soup base with some seasoning and bacon, but no potato. Something about it just didn't sit right with me. I returned it when my corned beef on rye sandwich arrived. I informed the server that I didn't like the soup, but she did not inquire further. When I paid the bill at the cash register, she did not show me the bill, only stating the total. I asked if she had charged me for the soup, and she confirmed that she had, explaining that they could not sell it again. There were other staff members, but none seemed surprised by my actions, and no one corrected her. It must be company policy. I have no intention of returning to this restaurant.
