Casey's Bar & Grill - Gloucester

Im not a fan of this location, I have been a few times and the last two the service wasn't the greatest and the food was pretty average.

Had lunch with colleagues at this location. Had the opportunity to enjoy our meal on their beautiful terrace. Lunch menu had just changed and the staff were getting used to the new items. Food was delicious and service was good.

They are going to have a new menu in the next few weeks and were trying out a few items last night. We had their new 'meat lovers' on flatbread (don't remember the actual name for it.) It was good with nicely seasoned homemade meatballs as one of the toppings. It didn't have too much cheese, just the right amount. Their smoothies are good but the strawberry didn't look very fresh. I had the pasta, chicken and spinach bowl while my girlfriend had the fried calamari (her usual.) They were both delicious! On top of everything, the service was amazing and our waitress was friendly and was very knowledgeable! We would definitively go there again in the future.

A friendly atmosphere and a very competent staff who master dishes. the card is rich with good quality meats. The rate is correct.

Last night we (6 adults) went to Casey's for a Mother's Day celebration. My wife and I haven't been there for years. Now we know why we haven't missed it. My daughter-in-law made a reservation and when we arrived first, they had no record of it. Then when my daughter-in-law arrived, all of a sudden her reservation was there. Oh well, put that down to confusion. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive but something went sideways in the kitchen because we waited well over an hour for our food. She kept on apologizing and tried to keep us informed, and it was not her fault, but apparently we weren't alone in waiting for dinner. When the food finally showed up, 4 out of 6 of us got our food at the same time...lukewarm Another got her pasta stone-cold. That got sent back and resurfaced about 10 minutes later. The last person got her pasta dish 20 minutes after everyone else. From the time we ordered until the last person got their food was almost an hour and 20 minutes. On top of that, besides being lukewarm, the food was fairly tasteless. Basically steak sandwiches and pasta. It was not pleasant to eat in front of others in our group who had not received their food and really defeated the purpose of eating and enjoying a Mother's day meal together. It would have been nice to have been told exactly what the holdup was with our food, or to be offered free coffee, dessert, something, to show that the Manager cared about their customer's dining experience. Our waitress expressed that the Manager knew of the service problem, but obviously chose not to address it with us. To not spoil the Mother's day festivity, we chose not the complain at the time. Will we go back? Definitely not.
