Thai Flavor - Glen Allen

This Thai restaurant serves excellent food. It can get quite busy, but don't let its location in a suburban strip mall deter you; I usually find those places off-putting, but I happened to be staying nearby. The food is fantastic. While ordering over the phone may be a bit tricky due to minor discrepancies between the PDF menu and their actual menu, I have no complaints about this place. The service is friendly and sincere, and the food is truly great. I highly recommend it!

During my visit from out of town, I was craving Thai food and came across this restaurant on Urbanspoon. I ordered the Shrimp Pad Thai to go, along with mango sticky rice, which the lady on the phone assured me was available. I arrived early and enjoyed watching my meal being prepared. The flavor of the Pad Thai was good, but I found the noodles to be a bit dry, which was unexpected since I was staying just across the street. Additionally, I was disappointed to find out they didn't actually have mango sticky rice. I'd consider returning if I'm ever in town again, but I was somewhat let down this time.

The service was quick and friendly. However, I advise against ordering the crab rangoon, as you'll only receive three very small, bland pieces in a single order. On the other hand, definitely try dish #59, the Massaman curry. It has fantastic flavor—while the portion isn't huge like at some places, it's creamy and has just the right amount of spice. Absolutely delicious!
