Contribuiți la feedbackThis might be the best place I've ever had a samosa. I've tried samosas at most spots in Glasgow, and none compare to this one. It's absolutely fantastic. This place is definitely a must-visit!
Last night, I tried the samosa and rasmalai from the shop. The rasmalai was good, but the samosa was definitely lacking. I remember it being spicy and delicious, but last night it was bland with no spice or salt. I'll give it another try in a few weeks before writing it off completely.
I usually visit this restaurant once a month. I've noticed that the quality of the food, particularly the channa puri on Sundays and the jalebi every day, has declined. The sweetness seems to have decreased as well. However, it's still the best option in Glasgow compared to other sweet shops. I hope they can improve their quality.
Good quality sweets and a few flavors. the choice is not extensive, but the most common sweets are available. the shop is very small and can really appear crowded. service can be slow. do not expect a service with a smile!
These jalebis are quite sweet, and when it comes to crunchiness, I rate them an 8 on a 1 to 10 scale, where 1 represents something softer than a high school boy on a cross-country team, and 10 is as hard as Walid. Each jalebi has its own character; these ones were thin and a bit sticky, which is actually a good thing. They are priced at 5 pounds per kilo (for my American friends, that translates to about $3.30 per pound). I'm very pleased with my jalebi experience. I took an Uber from my upscale apartment located north of the river to this shop further south. I also highly recommend the gulab jamun—it's simply the best in the world! Another gold medal winner! So, everyone wins here! The customer service is very sweet, and they know how much I love jalebis.
